Insurance Benefits Coverage
We as a population are moving towards a more integrative approach to healthcare. However, currently in the state of Washington, coverage for complementary and alternative care (CAM) services, if covered, are generally limited to acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic, and naturopathy. Energy healing is covered in limited situations. Some privately insured employers allow energy healing within client self-directed plans; I encourage clients to speak with their HR Benefits Manager about the benefits of energy healing, and to include it as a covered service within their plan(s) if not already doing so.
In an effort to support clients in the management of their healthcare costs, as well as the option to see a practitioner who specializes in energy healing, Balanced Rock Healing will pursue participation in provider plans where energy healing is a covered specialty. This would be the following plans at this time:
- AARP, Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, and Group Health members receive a 20% discount on services via Healthways WholeHealth Networks
- I can also provide a statement of services rendered, that is suitable for clients to submit to their health insurance carrier, in cases where they do reimburse.
